Lynda Shadbolt Lynda owns Haliburton Yoga and has been teaching
yoga in Haliburton since 1996. She is a
qualified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and has done training with Esther Myers in
Toronto. For the past 5 years she has
been studying Anusara Yoga, Qigong and Yin Yoga. Lynda is a Blue Belt Nia Instructor and a
certified Yoga Ed Instructor. Lynda
has a special interest in meditation and has completed the Mindfulness Based
Meditation program with Dr. Bill Knight in Huntsville, Ontario. Lynda has training in “relaxation massage”
from the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health and is a certified
Reflexologist. Lynda
is passionate about using movement as a tool for health. She loves to work with people of all ages
and abilities. Lynda teaches at Blue
Sky Yoga Studio, and also travels to locations across Ontario to offer yoga
retreats and workshops. Prior
to teaching yoga, Lynda had a 10 year career working in camping, outdoor
education and leadership development through Bark Lake Leadership Centre and
YMCA Camp Wanakita. Lynda
loves the outdoors and is dedicated to living lightly on the planet. What we offer
Yoga that is heart oriented, alignment based and rooted in careful attention
to the breath. Classes are offered for
many different needs/ groups. Lynda
has worked with seniors, children, women only, men only, special interest
groups (chronic pain, parkinsons, arthritis etc.).
Qigong is a 5000 year old ancient practice from
China. Using gentle movement, focused
breathing and positive images, this practice is suitable for anyone who is
interested in energy flow. It is easy
to do, and has profound effects in terms of feeling happy, energetic and yet
relaxed. It is great for the joints
and for creating peace of mind.
