Friday August 6 (6:00 – 9:00 pm) FULL The energy of the hip area can be alive and vital, or dull and
dormant. Explore pelvic anatomy and the psychology of the hips. Find out what
rules we need to follow to help keep the yoga practice safe and beneficial to
our physiology, while also learning how many rules actually restrict us. Then
participate in Eoin’s flowing series of poses that will leave you feeling
blissful and ecstatic. Balancing the discipline of a hot and sweaty practice
with the chilled West Coast, “play yoga” attitude, this workshop is taught in
Eoin’s “All levels, All Good”
approach, with modifications for beginners and plenty of juiciness for
intermediate and advanced yogis. We are talking freedom, baby. Yoga,
eastern mysticism + your nervous system – Saturday August 7 (10:00am –
1:00pm) – FULL The Mystical Experience is the heart of so many philosophical
and religious movements throughout history. Much of the Eastern Wisdom we
cherish including Yoga is founded in the mystical experience. What exactly
happens during a mystical experience is a mystery and thus the name,
mysticism. All we can say for sure is that in the words of Bob Marley is “Who
feels it, knows it.” One thing all mystics from all traditions of the East
and West talk about is that there is a deep feeling of stillness, of peace
and that all things are deeply connected. Interestingly, a lot of the
techniques these yogis and mystics cultivate can be explained through
understanding the nervous system. Join Yogi, Surfer, and Blissologist Eoin
Finn as he explains some of his exciting discoveries after over 23 years of
studying philosophy, yoga, meditation and human anatomy in this exciting
workshop. We will begin with a lecture and discussion, and follow it with an
amazing vinyasa flow yoga class to end with a first person experience of the
mystical. YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth Women’s Weekend (Fall: September 17-19) It is the
