Makeups must be done by the end of the winter term. Please dont wear any perfume to class. Try to arrive 5 minutes before the class starts so that you have time to settle. A great way to energize and relax. Gentle Yoga - Lots of warm ups and basic postures to increase strength, flexibility and balance. Perfect for those want to move slowly and relax. Qigong - Perfect for those who want gentle movement and breathing exercises to increase energy and joint mobility. Qigong (chi gung) is an ancient Chinese practice that uses images from nature to inspire movement. The core group of people in this class have been doing it with me for years and love it! Yoga for Core Strength - This class will provide the yogi perspective on postures and stretches that will improve core strength. This class is good for those who are new to yoga, and for those who want to learn specific work for the core. Yoga for Athletes This course will use the New York City Runners Club Guide for Runners yoga program and other yoga programs that are designed to help athletes with flexibility and breathing techniques. There will be the added benefits of strength and balance. Vinyasa Yoga Continuous movement linked with the breath. Introduction to Yoga - For those new to yoga, or for those who want to review the basics. After this course participants are welcome to join another regular class (fees will be pro-rated). Those who are new to yoga are also welcome to try any regular class and do it if it works. Yoga for Meditators Learn some basic yoga postures that you can use at home, to help you sit with more ease while meditating. The yoga is mindful and uses great care and attention to the breath. Yoga for Golfers Learn breathing exercises to help you focus and stay relaxed while you play golf. Learn some specific postures that will help maintain and build flexibility and strength for the game of golf. Yoga for Lower Back Learn basic yoga postures that will help build strength and stability for the the lower back muscles.
