Introduction to Yoga - Tuesday Eve 7:30 - 9:00 pm - (April 30- May 27)-$66.00

This course introduces the practice of yoga in a slow, safe and comprehensive way. The class will be small to allow for more individual attention, assists, and questions. This is great for for those with little or no experience, or students looking to reconnect with the fundamentals.

Yoga, coffee and lots of fun with the active retired folks of Haliburton- Thursday mornings 10:00 am - 11:30 (May 1 - June 26) - $135

This class is suitable for students of all levels. We will have a strong focus on the breath, as well as continuing to build strong postures that increase strength, flexibility and balance. The "regulars" in this group go to Heritage Cafe after class for a coffee and chit chat. It is a full morning of inspiration, education and fun!

Silent Sitting Circle with Brenda Peddigrew

It is easy to choose silence in our living places, but more difficult to move towards silence within ourselves. Sitting in silence with others – for no other purpose than doing so – not only enhances personal inner silence, but creates a group energy that is larger than ourselves.

Without religious affiliation, an hour of silent sitting will be offered at the Zion United Church group room in Carnarvon once every two weeks. At the beginning, there will be ten minutes of teaching to start and about fifteen minutes for questions at the end. Eventually, as our capacity for silence expands, the teachings and questions will take place outside the hour of silence. Participants can come for all or for the silence only. No social interaction is expected or encouraged in this time.

Leader: Brenda Peddigrew (489-3509)
Place: Zion United Church Group Room, Carnarvon
Time: Sunday mornings, 11:00am -12:00pm, bi-weekly
