at other classes if you miss your scheduled class. All makeups must be completed in the term
that you are registered in. Class Descriptions The
way that I teach is I pick a focus for each week (ie. The hamstrings or
shoulder muscles, or the liver meridian) and then we use postures and breath
that is on that topic. I am passionate
about everyone moving in their natural range of movement, working in a pain
free/ click free/ clunk free range so that yoga is a tool for improving range
of motion and the function of the body.
For me yoga isn’t just about getting into and through the poses. Not everyone will be ready for every pose
at the same time and that is the foundation of the classes…. We will all work
to benefit our own bodies! Deeper
practices – this is for people who have been doing for at least a year and
want to explore yin/yang, new postures, partner work. There will be no drop in allowed to this class. Gentle
Yoga – slow, focus on your breath and move in
your natural range of motion.
Attention paid to ensure that movement is therapeutic. Qigong
– done standing or seated, very gentle movement combined with breath Mid
Week Stretch – the class will provide some quiet time and attention in the
middle of the week… some times we move faster and some times slower….. a
little bit of everything… Moderate
yoga…move faster than a gentler class…..
