Haliburton Yoga is happily located in the beautiful village of Haliburton (at Heritage Ballet under Stedmans) in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. Classes are offered in Yoga, Nia, Qigong and Meditation. Haliburton Yoga is owned by Lynda Shadbolt who travels across the county and throughout the province leading workshops, retreats and customized programs. Private sessions are also available.

Lynda's vision is to create opportunities where people can find joy and health through moving their bodies in the practices of yoga, Nia, pilates or qigong. She offers classes that are fun, safe, challenging and creative so that people can strengthen their body at their own speed. Classes are available for people of all ages, abilities and experience level. Everyone is welcome!

Blue Skies Studio

Construction has begun at Haliburton Chiropratic - for the new Blue Skies Studio. Yahoo. Katie says it will be done by Christmas and we'll be starting classes there in January. This is a very happy event for past, present and future yogis who live in and visit Haliburton!

Heritage Ballet presents The Nutcracker - Sat Dec 13 at 7:30 and Sunday Dec 14 at 2:00.

Over 50 local and guest dancers will bring ballet's most popular performance to life in Haliburton. Celebrating it's 5th anniversary here, this year's performance promises to be another amazing one. New characters and costumes are part of the highlights of this years performance. Going to the Nutcracker is a great way to bring some spirit into the Christmas season. Tickets go on sale on Nov 17 at Pharmasave in Minden and Baubles and Bons Bons in Haliburton. Adults $15.00 and Children $10.00

Yoga at Sir Sams Inn - Eagle Lake - Saturdays till Nov 15 - 9:30 - 11:00 - $15.00 per class - This is a beginners class. It is possible to use the water spa after a class - ask at the Front Desk at Sir Sams. Drop ins are welcome.

Yoga Retreat Weekend at Sir Sams Inn, Haliburton Ontario - November 14-16, 2008. Check out their website at www.sirsamsinn.com. I'll be doing a morning class, and an afternoon class for couples. It is a very beautiful place to spend a weekend!

Haliburton County Folk Society "Winter Folk Camp" March 6 - 8, 2009 - YMCA Camp Wanakita - www.winterfolkcamp.com - I'll be living on site offering yoga for musicians and massage/ reflexology treatments. It will be a great event.

Yoga for all Levels - Thursday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 (September 18 - December 11: 13 weeks). Classes will be held at Heritage Ballet. The cost is $150.00 or $14.00 drop in.

Yoga for Beginners - Wednesday Evenings: October 15 - November 12: 7:00 - 8:30 (5 weeks $60.00)

We gather on Calico Road in the home of John and Teresa Bourque. To get to "The Carpenter's Inn" from downtown Haliburton, take 121 to Minden. Calico road is on the right side of the road, across from Wee Care (just past Sharpe's Electric). Turn right onto Calico and go to the end - 911# 1203. Turn left onto their driveway. You can park on the road, or on the driveway. We'll figure that out as we go. Their phone number is 455-9177.

Yogis must bring their own gear (mat, block, cushion, blanket, tie and water).
